Again anxiety after stopping meds
I have been suffering from anxiety  from past 4 years and using medicines (sertraline). I feel better after using the meds. After the doctor advice, 2 months back I have stopped the meds. I was ok for 2 months after stopping the meds. But from 2 days I am feeling very anxious and I feel like I am going to die. Do I need to continue the medicines life long? Is there any better treatment?

The treatment of anxiety is usually tailored according to the patient's symptoms and response. Usually, gradual tapering and stopping will help people remain symptom-free. That said, any kind of stress ( physical, medical, hormonal, psychological) can again trigger the symptoms
Next Steps
please discuss your symptoms with your Psychiatrist and maybe you'll benefit from restarting your medicines under the care of your Psychiatrist but please don't panic. sometimes, you won't need to take them life long, but you'll still have to take for a long time, and reduce the doses very slowly for long intervals before stopping and sertraline is a very safe medicine, which will help you get over your current state of excessive stress hope you'll feel better soon!! good luck!!
