After Root Canal
I am done with my root canal today..Doc will place permanent crown after 7 days. She after RCT said not to chew on hard food like nuts,or candies even after placing perm ceramic crown as she said the half tooth beneath is only saved and half is perm filling...So is there any restriction really that i cannot eat nuts or anything hard forever even with crown?? Is there any guarantee of this crown?

There will always be a warranty on crowns, especially if opting for ceramic crowns. The risk with eating hard food is that 5he6tooth structure beneath may break. In that case even if the crown is under warranty it is not possible to replace since there is no base to cement the crown on.
Next Steps
get a crown ASAP
Health Tips
no food of toffee hard consistency and stickiness from that area

Namaskaram In order to save the natural existing structures of your teeth after it's pulp is infected (core of a tooth), root canal procedure is done which removes the infected matter and gives that area good chance to heal. Even though rct is one of the best procedures in dentistry, the residual tooth structure becomes brittle and sensitive over time since absent pulp, in order to extend the longevity of that tooth, a crown is placed over it to function for chewing, compensate the lost structure and provide protection and stability to the underlying tooth. There no guarantee on the artificial crowns however some are with warranty based on what you've opted. Thus to retain this contraption for the longest possible time depending on the crown's material make, you must avoid chewing hard and sticky food from where the crown is placed and perform frequent visits to dentist to maintain it. You may enjoy eating such food where the crowns are not placed. Team shambhala.

A well done filling and crown can withstand forces to some extent, hence there are no serious restrictions to avoid nuts like badham, pistachio. However, you are requested to be conscious on the force you apply to chew these nuts, a sudden heavy force can cause a fracture to the restoration and tooth under the crown but a slow paced soft force can withstand the fracture.
Next Steps
If you are very particular on consuming nuts, we advise you to place the nuts in water for a while and then chew, the water helps to soften the nuts.
Health Tips
kindly do avoid candies and chocolates that are cold and rock hard to chew, wait for them to soften, then enjoy them well with your new crowns. Best to avoid anything that you cannot chew with that slow paced soft force
