I injured my knee while playing football. Got x-ray and MRI scan of the knee done.
I have attached the report.
The doctor suggested surgery is not required.
I'm adviced not to put on weight for few days. Currently using a knee immobilizer.
Please advice me on the recovery time and the time needed for normal activities (walking)
Thanks in advance

⢠Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area
⢠Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).
⢠Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment in which knee is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the knee with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

You are a footballer.
You need surgery 100%. Arthroscopy assisted ACL bony avulsion refixation with screws or sutures.
ACL is anterior stabiliser of knee. With a healed original or non healed ACL, you cannot return to sports.
Since it's not a complete tear so surgery is not required. The healing may take 3 weeks to 6 weeks. Start taking Physiotherapy sessions which should first aim at controlling pain like icing followed by strengthening exercises for knee which can be added at 3 to 4 weeks.
