Wisdom teeth usually erupts between 18 to 25 years of age . Most of the time there wont be enough space to erupt that is when it creates problem either due to food lodgement or gum infection. The only permanent solution will be extraction of tooth. It will be minor surgical procedure usually done by a Maxillofacial surgeon. So get it extracted.
Sir you need to take her to a dentist to check if the wisdom tooth has enough space and is oriented properly. We need to take an x-ray to confirm this and rule out any infection in that area.Usually the wisdom tooth should erupt between the age of 18-21 years.Regards,Dr Sumanmakam,Dental arts,Jayanagar,Bangalore
Hi, If the pain in wisdom tooth is happening frequently then only it has to be removed otherwise to prevent discomfort & pain the area should be kept clean by proper brushing & with warm water & salt gargles,Right now a pain killer can be taken to relieve pain .
For immediate relief you have to start antibiotics and pain killers .
See dentist in person and they will suggest if it needs to be removed after taking an X Ray
Usually extraction is the best possible solution
3rd molar normally erupts at age of 18-21, when they do not erupts it might get impacted within jaw bone. Radiographic(IOPA/OPG) conformation needs to diagnose such impacted teeth. Food get lodged between these teeth and soft tissue causing inflammation and thus pain. Surgical removal of these teeth needed in such cases.
Get opg/IOPA done
Clean that area & avoid food being stuck in that area. Use warm saline gargle which might help. Consult dentist.
