Summary

Dr Shailesh Pandey didn’t just solve my problem. He has given me a new lease of life.

My struggle

I had Septoplasty 10 years ago to address a deviated septum. The surgery failed to address my primary concern i.e severe breathing issues. My septum was still severely deviated right at opening of my nostril. When I went back to the surgeon who had performed the septoplasy about 5 years later, he refused to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with my nose.

A few experienced ENTs told me that I had to live with it and nothing could be done. I went to a few ENTs for consultation in Mumbai and abroad. My quality of life was atrocious because I couldn’t breathe and never felt rested even after having 10 to 12 hours of sleep.

First appointment with Dr Shailesh

I came across Prime ENT on practo in 2019. I had an online consultation with Dr Shailesh and managed to see him for my first consultation on 25 July 2022. Dr Shailesh was very patient and suggested that an innovative approach was needed to fix my nose i.e take some cartilage off the ear and put it in my nose. However, Dr Shailesh said that any solution during the first consultation would be a shot in the dark. To be super sure about the approach we would have to do a sleep endoscopy. Also, from my previous surgery My nose was packed with gauze for three days and I developed severe claustrophobia since then. Dr Shailesh explained the process to me and told me he’d be using splints not gauze.

The game Changer

I had sleep endoscopy on 27 July and It was a revelation in itself. Al l these years, my focus was on my nose. It was discovered that I had something called as the Kissing tonsils. Essentially, I had two blockages Nose and tonsils. My oxygen levels were very low and I gasped for oxyen in my sleep. My brain used to wake up every 20 odd minutes due to choking and I never fell into deep sleep all through the night.

Procedures performed

I had surgery at Prime ent on 2 August 2022. The following procedures were performed:

1. Revision Septorhinoplasty :

a. Straightening of the septum using the residual cartilage in my nose itself. There wasn’t any need to use the cartilage from the ear.

b. Elevating the tip of the nose to allow for better breathing

2. Laser Turbinate reduction

3. Laser Tonsils removal

Post Surgery

Splints removed on 6 August.

Stitches removed on 13 August.

My experience was super SMOOTH. I had a traumatising experience with my previous nasal surgery

Results

I can now breathe through my nose and get restful sleep. Lack of quality sleep had affected my quality of life for years. I cannot thank Dr Shailesh enough.

Mahesh took great care of me after the surgery. He was very helpful throughout the journey. From the first consultation till the time I was discharged post surgery

Deepali helped with the prep for my sleep Endoscopy and the surgery. I ot super claustrophobic once and went into over drive when a couple of bandaes were inserted into my nostrils before the sleep endoscopy. The drill was supposed to be the same before the surery I requested to take it easy with the insertion due to claustrophobia. They did not insert the bandages pre surgery. I understand the medicine helps open up the nasal passages .

Conclusion

All in all I would more than recommend Prime ENT and Dr Shailesh for any ENT issues. I came across PRIME ent through the internet ( practo) and its reviews. Apologies for this review being war and peace in size. I wanted to share my experience in detail to help others like me. If I were to do it all over again I certainly would.

I suffered from chronic allergic rhinitis. Since 25 years every day i sneeze badly uncountable , watery eyes, itching in my nose ears eyes. i tried alot for treatment. I change so many doctors and some of them said it's sinus and treated for that n so many anti allergy medicines.

Day by day my health going bad. Since 1 year I can't sleep at night bcoz of Cronic sneeze n running nose. I can't breath properly. I can't explain my pain.

I started taking medicines like always i do. It's almost 2 year gone but my situation still same.

Then I decided to follow his suggestion for surgery.

On 2nd June i decided for surgery n met with him.on 8 th June surgery done.

Today is 22nd June now I can say GOD SENT DR.SAILESH PANDEY AS HIS ANGEL. Alhamdulillah Dr sailesh pandey k haath me SHIFA hai. God bless him.

I am feeling relaxed these days. No sneeze, no nose running, no itching AND BIG THING NO MEDICINES. For all these problems only one solution DR. SAILESH PANDEY. After God millions of thanks to Dr. SAILESH PANDEY.

I have been visiting Dr Shailesh Pandey since 2007 for my ear problems. In March 2019 I started experiencing ringing in my left ear (tinnitus) and on examination doctor said I have a perforated eardrum and suggested a surgery (tympanoplasty). My audio gram evaluation showed moderate to severe mixed hearing loss. 6 months back there was watery discharge from my left ear. Even after taking 2 months of antibiotics, the discharge kept oozing. Though apprehensive I trusted Dr Shailesh who performed the surgery for attic destruction and repair of the perforated eardrum with skin graft . The surgery was done endoscopically without any incision behind the ear on 8th January 2021. I can hear better now and no ringing sound (tinnitus) in my ear. I recommend Dr Shailesh for all problems relating to the ear. Dr Mahesh and other staff are friendly too.
