Choosing Psychology as her major in college was a decision that came very easily since she was always inclined towards helping others. Her journey in this field was further enriched when she completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology. Over the years, she has attended many workshops and training programs to keep abreast and updated with the newest approaches and therapies. The recent most feathers in her cap are completing the Advanced Practicum in RE-CBT (Rational Emotive – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) from the Albert Ellis Institute (AEI), New York, USA and the Advanced-Applied training in RE-CBT with children and adolescents from the same institute. When deciding on a therapist, it is especially important to feel a connection with the one you choose. I am a 27 year old with bipolar disorder. Mrs. Choksi assessed my health with the MCMI-4 psychometric test and constantly stays in touch with my psychiatrist. Even though I am a doctor myself, explaining that mental health illness is not something I can "snap out of" to my parents was extremely difficult. Mrs. Choksi arranged for a family session and even emailed my parents answers to all their questions so they can refer to them again. She is extremely kind hearted *** ************** She validated my experience and had helped me work on my self so that even my friends can make out the shift in my personality and behavior. She is friendly, approachable, non-judgmental, warm and welcoming. I have shared memories and aspects of my life which I haven't been comfortable telling anyone else. Mrs. Choksi has created a safe space for me and given me realistic expectations and hope as to how to cope with my health. She surpasses all expectations and has given me assignments and techniques to cope with the unpleasant experiences of my life. I would highly recommend her consultation.

Life does not get easy or difficult by someone's/something's existence, their presence may make the way you deal with life easy/difficult. Dr.Tanu has always patiently heard me out and helped me get solutions to my problems. When I first came to her,I honestly did not know how the girl who is unable to share emotions with her loved ones is going to talk about her feelings with someone she hasn't known for long. Ever since my first session with Dr.Tanu, talking about what I am feeling has always felt natural. For someone who does not like meeting a lot of people, therapy sessions are something I always look forward to. Though I have not overcome OCD completely, I feel a lot more better than I did a year ago and I cannot thank Tanu Ma'am for helping me out so much and for being my human diary where I rant out almost anything and everything going on in my life

I have been speaking to Tanu since over a month now regarding my anxiety and it has helped me tremendously. She is a genuine person and is extremely understanding and supportive especially during tough times. Her knowledge of psychiatry is extensive and her methods are very down to earth. Being an anxious personality, I was anxious about speaking with her my very first time, however, after the first 5 minutes it was like I was speaking to an old friend. I can definitely say that my sessions with Tanu have eased my anxiety and I have been able to able to tackle issues faced by myself with more confidence and assurance. I would definitely recommend speaking with Tanu if you face similar issues and need someone to hear your troubles.
