Choosing Psychology as her major in college was a decision that came very easily since she was always inclined towards helping others. Her journey in this field was further enriched when she completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology. Over the years, she has attended many workshops and training programs to keep abreast and updated with the newest approaches and therapies. The recent most feathers in her cap are completing the Advanced Practicum in RE-CBT (Rational Emotive – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) from the Albert Ellis Institute (AEI), New York, USA and the Advanced-Applied training in RE-CBT with children and adolescents from the same institute. When deciding on a therapist, it is especially important to feel a connection with the one you choose. Her approach is caring, warm, and collaborative…

As someone who was hesitant to seek help despite dealing with stress, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts for years, starting therapy with Dr. Tanu has been one of the best decisions I have made for myself. I am very grateful to have found Dr. Tanu. She is ********* ************** thoroughly professional and genuinely compassionate. Her receptive and perceptive attitude towards my concerns is empowering and also facilitates easy, judgement-free communication. Despite my shy personality, she makes it easy for me to talk about my problems and suggests workable solutions without jumping the gun. She also helps me re-assess and re-frame situations; this has helped me consider and accept different perspectives from my own. In the past 5 months that I have been consulting with Dr. Tanu, my family and I have seen clearly discernible results in my behavior, mood, habits and attitude - and I owe it all to Dr. Tanu! I have also come to really look forward to my sessions with her as they have become something I rely on. It keeps me grounded and also gives me a sense of accountability, especially since I am preparing for an exam and navigating difficult situations in my work and personal life. I find myself wanting to make progress for my exam prep between sessions so I can update her on where I am at, which has really helped me stay consistent. Even outside of sessions, I often catch myself hearing her voice in my head in moments where I feel like I am losing control, and it helps me pause, reflect, and handle things better. Looking back, I was at a very dark place when I reached out to Dr. Tanu. Little did I know that my open-mindedness would lead me to discover such an amazing therapist in Dr. Tanu. In a nutshell, my sessions with her contribute heavily to keeping me going and help me hold myself together as I power my way through life. I truly wish I could talk to her for more than just 45 minutes!

Hi, i'm a 29 year old male with a family history of depression.
For Counsellors and therapists, there are multiple factors which are involved. While every counsellor may be proficient in their field, since the process requires sharing intimate facts about your personal life, there is a journey which you have to go through with a counsellor.
Since my earlier counsellor had shifted base, I had to search for a new one and after a great deal of skepticism.
But the moment i found out about Mrs. Choksi and read about her experience, I was open to give it a try with her to re-start my self-improvement journey.
From the moment I have entered her clinic, the ambience, the professionalism with which the team has guided me through the appointment and the quick TAT in terms of ensuring all the baseline measures are taken and studied in tandem with talk therapy, have all been an absolute delight.
Within 15 minutes of entering her cabin, I felt the most comfortable and was able to let my guard down.
Not only is that an excellent sign of a counsellor, but along with that, her ability to quickly catch up with my issues and without having me repeat much of my past issues, Tanu Ma'am was able to grasp and diagnose me in no time.
Though i've had only 3-4 sessions with her till date, the effective results are as if i've been seeing her for years!
I would certainly recommend her to all ages of people and families as well. Tanu ma'am is well versed with a variety of situations and will certainly be a great asset to your life and in your journey of understanding and managing oneself better :)

I am a 27 year old with bipolar disorder. Mrs. Choksi assessed my health with the MCMI-4 psychometric test and constantly stays in touch with my psychiatrist. Even though I am a doctor myself, explaining that mental health illness is not something I can "snap out of" to my parents was extremely difficult. Mrs. Choksi arranged for a family session and even emailed my parents answers to all their questions so they can refer to them again. She is extremely kind hearted *** ************** She validated my experience and had helped me work on my self so that even my friends can make out the shift in my personality and behavior. She is friendly, approachable, non-judgmental, warm and welcoming. I have shared memories and aspects of my life which I haven't been comfortable telling anyone else. Mrs. Choksi has created a safe space for me and given me realistic expectations and hope as to how to cope with my health. She surpasses all expectations and has given me assignments and techniques to cope with the unpleasant experiences of my life. I would highly recommend her consultation.
