Dr. Sanjay Vaidya

Dr. Vaidya is a practicing consultant plastic and diabetic foot surgeon since 1988. He is attached to the S. L. Raheja Hospital, P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Mahim and Khar, Dhanvantari Hospital and Lilavati Hospital as a plastic and diabetic foot surgeon. He is Professor and Examiner of fellowship in diabetic foot surgery, MUHS, and Treasurer of the diabetic foot society of India (DFSI).He is Vice President - Asia Pacific Association of Diabetic Limb Problems (APADLP).He is President of Podiatric Surgeons Society of India.He is also the project manager for National initiative of diabetic foot society of India - “National Wound Care Project” across India. The aim of this project is to train postgraduate medical/surgical students and nurses in modern wound care training with comprehensive inputs and hands-on training workshops. This project is funded and approved by World diabetic foundation and is accredited by the European Wound Management Association. His areas of interest are Surgical and non-surgical management of diabetic foot problems and comprehensive wound management. He has the latest advanced modalities for faster and effective wound healing. The state of the art advanced modalities like Recosma Laser and latest topical warm oxygen therapy for wound healing and closure are being used effectively under his guidance in Feet First Clinic. He has undergone specialized training and has been awarded the "Post Graduate Diploma in laser medicine" from Russia.
