Anupama Kapur has been working as a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and counsellor for the last 32 years and is a certified life member of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists.She specializes in the treatment of Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression and Bipolar Disorder.She also conducts relationship therapy, dealing with both martial/adult relationship issues and parent-child issues.She conducts various psychological tests and assessments such as IQ tests, personality assessments, Neuropsychological assessment, tests for the assessment of attention deficiency hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).While diagnostics is her forte, psychotherapy is her passion. She follows a client centered approach to therapy along with her training in cognitive behavioral therapy and rational emotive behavior therapy. Since i’ve been diagnosed with depression, I went to 3 doctors before Dr Anupama. I found Dr Anupama to be a very warm and patient person so I was able to completely open up to her. For mental health, the most important factor is to have a doctor who listens intently, else the treatment is not going to work. Dr Anupama ensures she gives you full attention during your session despite her packed schedule, making it easier each time you take a session (the previous doctors were giving very little time and attention, and don’t keep a track of your progress closely the way Dr Anupama does).
Anyone who feels even a little overwhelmed in their life should take therapy from Dr Anupama and they will feel much lighter and positive.
Since second half of the year 2019, we are consulting Dr. Ashit Sheth and Dr.Anupama Kapur till February 2021. My daughter is the patient of schizophrenia since long time. We are from US. Read on internet about Vile parle office and the doctors associated with. Dr Kapur is very friendly and knowledgeable with psychiatry. Easy and convenient with the patient. Also explaining related matters of patient with the parents. My daughter is improving gradually but still needs attention and treatment. I recommend the doctor Anupama Kapur and the office.
Anupama came into my life like a beacon of light in my darkest hours and made everything bright and hopeful with her understanding and guidance. I honestly could not have been in a position to be writing this today if not for Anupama. I met her when I was hitting rock bottom mentally and physically. I had contacted other therapists before, but the condition seemed to be worsening instead of getting better. Today, I'm on my feet and looking forward to life only because of her. Councellor Anupama is a very warm person who makes u comfortable from the first session onwards. She understands u well and never judges u and compliment u on ur slightest achivement also. I really thank her for helping me overcome a major part of my anxiety issues.. Highly reccomend her.
She is quick to understand your problem and is very supportive in her suggestions and way forwards. She is a patient listener and very empathetic. Her guidance is more like suggestions that you feel has indeed come from you and hence you give it a good try. She identifies the medical interventions required and takes us to the Doctor and prebriefs the doctor that takes a lot of stress out. All in all, a great counsellor to approach.

I met Anupama at a time when I was deeply unhappy and felt completely helpless and miserable in an abusive marriage. She kindly, gently, firmly, logically, patiently over the course of many months helped restore my confidence and helped me see that I was more than capable of walking out and looking after myself. Anupama is an extremely gifted therapist and deeply committed to her patients’ well being. Her counselling helped me change the course of my life and I can’t recommend her enough. I have since recommended her to many of my friends and they have each benefitted enormously from her care.
I started speaking with Anupama last year, before the lockdown happened and continued to speak to her over video calls for a few months. Spending that time with her really made a difference to my life. I had been holding on to many things which were causing a lot of anxiety, unhappiness and I was finding it hard to cope, especially when the lockdown happened, which made me feel all the more isolated. She is very calm, empathetic and methodical. She offered me her perspective and helped me deal with things step by step. One of the things I'm most grateful for is being able to have a very difficult conversation that I would have never had, if it weren't for her advice where she explained the value of having that conversation and gave me the courage to go ahead with it.
A very understanding psychologist who isn't there to just to make you feel better but to actually make you a better version of yourself. Highly recommended.

Dr. Anupama is a great doctor, the way she connects with you, makes you feel at ease, is just amazing. Sessions with her feels like, you're just talking to a friend and sharing all your concerns with her and she doesn't only listens to you carefully and calmly but also gives you great advices on how to deal with them. I'd just like to thank her for helping me face my anxiety and fears with such grace and for being the reason behind me being able to lead my life with a better and happy mindset.
