I was around 17 years old when I started therapy ( I am currently 18 now ) and I was initially very scared to go to therapy in the first place since I haven't grown up in a place where talking about mental health is the norm, it took me years to come to terms with the fact I need help. So, I reached out to Monica Ma'am and she made me realize the importance of therapy in our first session. She convinced my mom too and how important mental health is. Throughout all our sessions, I have made a lot of progress because of her. Opening up to a stranger was terrifying but it was 100% worth it. As someone who has also struggled with being expressive, In therapy, she has taught me to how to feel which happened after giving myself the permission to feel that allowed me to be expressive. she has taught me how it's okay to not have everything figured out and we're all just in the process of that. I learned how to be confident in myself and about self love too, there are so many things I have learned from her which I doubt I can put it into a few sentences.
