Dr Mehul Thakkar is an expert pulmonologist with good experience in managing respiratory diseases and specializes in managing Asthma, COPD, Tuberculosis (including drug resistant tuberculosis i.e. MDRTB & XDRTB), Sleep apneas, Interstitial lung diseases (ILD), Pulmonary function tests (PFT). He has special interest in bronchoscopy and related procedures. He has received his MBBS training from one of the premier hospitals in India– Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He has achieved his masters in pulmonary medicine from one the best pulmonary medicine departments in the country, at Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur. He has been trained in interventional bronchoscopy by a world renowned bronchoscopist (late) Prof C.T.Bolliger at Cape Town, South Africa. He has worked as an assistant professor in the Pulmonary medicine departments at KEM Hospital & Sion Hospital at Mumbai. He is an expert in bronchoscopy and related procedures & medical thoracoscopy. He has keen interest in research and has published his work in reputed national and international journals.
