Dr. Hansra was very dubious and recommended us to a do a central IV to my grandmother. He forced us into saying that if we don't follow his advice, the patient might get a paralysis stoke. We disapproved even after a lot of brunt by him and patient was actually shifted to general ward that very day. I don't recommend him at all.
Dr. Surinder Hansra replied
central IV line are adviced if peripheral veins are not available or certain drugs cannot be given by peripheral veins. central IV line is not a therapy for stroke prevention rather it is used to give drugs to control irregular heart rate that can cause paralytic stroke. It is fortunate that your patient stabilised without need for further IV drugs. Need for these procedures have to be explained in advance.
