My cycle accident happened on a Sunday afternoon. Fell on the mouth and the lips, teeth and the chin got devastated with streams of blood gushing out. Managed to visit a big Hospital's Emergency section. They wasted a lot of time trying to find out which surgeon can operate on me and when. They wanted me to be admitted without any indication on what immediate actions will follow. At such a time I contacted Dr. Prashant Murugkar, who asked me to immediately come over to the KLS Memorial Hospital where he will try making alternate arrangements even though the Operation Theatre was closed.

When I reached out there I was pleasantly surprised to see how he had converted a general patient room to a operation thestre with head mounted lamps and other surgery kits. He had managed to not only got his assistants but he also had some doctor and students attending. Without wasting time on formalities he got started immediately by giving four local anaesthesia injections himself.

He spent the initial hour cleaning up the mess both inside and outside the mouth. There were fragments of the broken teeth embedded in the lips. Not only that, the first aid cotton fibres had also got mixed up in the wounds. He dexterously managed all that while telling students in between, the salient points.

A Master at work, he was also a picture of concern and humbleness during the operation. Always apologizing before hand on where a procedure could hurt and querying whether I was feeling OK before moving ahead. Even though all the ideal surgical tools were not available at that time, he still improvised such that there was no compromise.

When it came to suture time he became like a Renaissance painter, going over his artwork again and again till he was satisfied. He kept asking opinions of others around although he knew what he was doing bery well. He described the importance of preserving the characteristic Cupid's bow on the upper lip and the furrow in the centre.

Towards the end of the 3 hour of his passionate session, the anaesthesia started to wear off. But such was his devotion to the art-at-hand that I didn't feel the pain as pain but a help towards the maestro's artwork.

It was 9:30 pm and yet there was something which he wanted to attend to as part of his holistic concern. He made an impromptu plaster for my left fractured hand till an ortho could have a look at it the next day.

The hospital formalities were completed after he had left. This was the first time we have seen an idealistic thing like this actually happening.

I discovered later on at that he had to leave for Coorg early next morning with his family. He didn't let that come in the way. The world needs more such passionate professionals to resurrect the faith.

Later when I met other doctors in course of my other treatment, I could see them enviously studying the artwork and remarking that only an accomplished cosmetic surgeon could have done that.

Dr. Prashant kept advising through WhatsApp, even though he was in his vacation, on the daily cleaning procedures and medicine for healing to be perfect.

Six days after he took off the stitches, it is difficult for anyone to make out the gruesome state before. Adroit hands can make miracles happen.

I have undergone surgery for gynecomastia with Dr. Prashant in month on January. In the first appointment itself doctor explained the problem to me and suggested minor surgery to resolve it. The surgery was done well and the post surgery symptoms were exactly the way doctor had informed me about before. We had first check up after a week, then after a month and then after three months. At each check up doctor gave me right advice to help with reducing the swelling and getting the best result from surgery. 6 months on, now i am very confident with my body, which i wasnt before treatment. Would very much recommend Dr. Prashant as his experience speaks through his words and treatment.

One advice i would give to all seeking treatment for gynecomastia, never choose your doctor in hurry as surgeries are no joke. You must have the right doctor in case something goes wrong during the treatment, which Dr. Prashant definitely was during mine.
