Dr. Ashit Sheth has been a practicing psychiatrist for almost 40 years. He stood first in his MBBS as well as MD examinations. He is a Hon. Psychiatrist to the Bombay Hospital, Mumbai. Till his early retirement in 1994 he was Hon. Professor of Psychiatry at KEM Hospital and G. S. Medical College.He has authored more than 50 publications in national and international journals and contributed chapters to various medical text books. He has edited psychiatric section in text book of medicine published by API. He was awarded Dr. Vaidya lectureship award in 1993, Dr. K.T. Dholakia lecture in 2004, and Dr. V.V. Jaykar oration in 2005. He is on the teaching faculty of the Indian Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. He has been practicing hypnotherapy for last 25 years. He is a member of International Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis.He has deep interest in photography and has made four professional audio-visuals related to medical subjects. He is a well-known and popular speaker and is giving lectures on various subjects to lay audiences, family physicians, postgraduate students, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists and consultants. His clinic is known as Unlimited Potentialities. He is also conducting workshops on hypnosis, hypnotherapy, anger management and stress management..
I have been a patient of Dr. Ashit Sheth for more than 20 years. Back then, I was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Under able and efficient treatment of Dr. Sheth, I improved slowly first and then steadily. I was stead fast in taking medications prescribed by him and also started attending counselling therapy sessions with a psychologist working under him.

I visited Dr. Ashit Sheth after nothing working out with previous doctors and being desperate enough to try anything and highly recommended by a famiily member. Little did I know what I was getting into. I believe Therapy is a collaborative process- a mutual exploration of your self. And the most important thing for any patient to recover is to FEEL SAFE with the therapist. The critical question you is this : Do you feel that your therapist is curious to find out who you are and what you, *** **** ******* ********** ********* **** * Are you just a list of symptoms on some diagnostic questionnaire, or does your therapist take the time to find out why you do what you do and think what you think ?
Dr. Ashit Sheth was not at all interested in knowing my story. All he chose to listen was words and labels like "Drug abuse" "Alcohol abuse" "Bullied" and gave me a diagnosis. I actually caught him talking to his colleagues (a couple of them sit with him always) while I was sharing my intense emotions. He was just not interested at all. I never felt safe and heard by him. He kept telling his assistant who kept writing down a huge list of medicines. I was not convinced, but I was desperate. I tried his medicines for a while. He gave no practical tips except to stay in Mumbai for a while. which I did. *** ********* **** *** ****** *** *********** ****** **** ******** *** **** *** *** **** ** ******* One good thing that happened after I went through this and found out more holistic ways to help myself recover, * ******* *** *** ********* *** ** ** *** * ***** * ***** ********* *** *** **** ** ** ** ***** ***** * **** * ***** * *** ******* ** ** *********** *** * *** **** *** ***** **** ** ********* ***** ** *** ****** ******* *** *** I am not saying choosing to do this will work for everybody. He pretends to be a good doctor with supporting staff and his clinic in parle is just a big show off...i went to him in 2014 feb and he gave me a medicine that screwed my brain. After stopping That medicine i used to stay awake for 35-36 hrs continuesly without sleep. I told him that the medicine was causing me rls still he continued with that drug. He charged a whopping 3000 at that time, which was of no necessity. I personally suggest not to go to ashit sheth as he is just a money hungry doctor. I havent still recovered from My sleep problem. Pls don't go to him.

After having tried 3 different psychiatrists, I went to this gentleman. His approach was fatherly and not only did he diagnose the ailment correctly, he almost changed me totally as a person, into a confident professional. I have seen him help patients with Schizophrenia & Physchosis. The problem is if the doctor starts telling his patients what medicine will do what in his brain, the patient who has no idea of the pros & cons will not understand it. Do people know how the food is broken down & digested within the body, let alone understand complex medicines react on the brain. Its very easy to pass negative comments. I think this doctor is just superb & I am a successful professional working in a bank in a leadership role only because of his treatment.

Dr Sheth has tremendous experience of dealing with mental health issues and our experience of his treatment has been Satisfactory. We would surely recommend him for any issue with mental health . He is patient , detailed and has very good knowledge of appropriate medication which is most important in such treatments!
