Dr. Sonawalla is also a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Jaslok Hospital and Research Center, Mumbai and former Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, Boston, U.S.A. and Duke University Medical Center, U.S.A. Dr. Sonawalla is a practicing psychiatrist for over 20 years, and has a rich and extensive clinical and research experience in this field across India and the United States. At Harvard, she did pioneering work in depression and received several prestigious awards for the same, including the NARSAD Young Investigator Award. Her department at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, was voted number one department of psychiatry in the United States for over 16 consecutive years by U.S. News. Dr. Sonawalla has over 100 publications to her credit in national and international journals. Dr. Sonawalla was recently awarded the 50 Top Global Mental Health Leaders Award at the World Mental Health Congress in Mumbai.

I went to this doctor based on the ratings on Practo, so I was quite shocked at my experience. The one positive is that I didn't get any worse and her staff is caring and professional.
