Like many others, I googled for a psychologist to help deal with my negative thoughts; Dr. Shamim came with very high recommendations, moreover she looked very approachable and friendly in her pic, so I decided to give it a chance, thinking, what is the max that can happen. Boy, was I wrong!!

In the first meeting itself, she put me at complete ease. Moreover, what's interesting is she uses indirect techniques to get to the root of your problem, making it easier to open up to her; its almost like she is reading your mind.

She is patient, empathetic, and an amazing listener. Her "Inner Child Healing" sessions helped me eradicate my negative feelings from the root. She also provided me with numerous practical techniques that I continue to use, even though our sessions have ended (I honestly cant believe it went on for 4 months, time really flies)

I also would like to point out her disciplined approach in conducting the sessions; it gave me structure and familiarity, and the cherry on the cake was her punctuality; she values your time, in turn she values you!.

She is also an eternal learner, which is truly inspirational.

There are a lot of inhibitions before we take a decision to meet a counselor for our problems, but the moment I met Mrs Shamim, she made me feel at peace with her gentle, cheerful, patient and understanding demeanor. She has helped me deal with my anxiety and its root causes through her therapy as well as mental exercises that she suggests as homework. I have already referred some of my friends going through a tough time, to seek an appointment with her. Thank you, Ma'am. I hope and pray that you get to touch and make a positive difference to a lot many more people to come.

Last year, my daughter, who is normally a happy friendly and cheerful child, suddenly started remaining gloomy, sad. And she would cry at the drop of a hat. All of 14-15 yrs, i thought this could be a teenage/adolescent phase. But as her sadness, and loneliness increased, i felt worried and concerned. Since i already knew Shamimji from an earlier association, i immediately contacted her and asked for an appointment. Soon enough, we went to the dahisar counseling center. We were greeted with a warm bright smile by shamimji, as always (i always wondered how can person, who as a part of profession has to listen to so many different range of problems, and yet always is cheerful and smiling!!)

After an initial session with my daughter, she called me inside the cabin and explained to me the problem. Obviously i was a bit worried and tensed, but shamimji explained so well that i actually was more than relaxed...half reason being that i was sure that my daughter is in safe secure hands. The subsequent sessions thereafter were equally comforting and progressive as i saw my daughter getting back to her original happy self.

Dr Shamim is a warm and loving soul. She could understand me and my problems in the first session itself. Half my issues evaporate as I see her and speak to her. She chalked out a therapeutic plan, and by the 3rd 4th session, I started feeling good. She gives homework and lovely books to read.Thanks for understanding me... I have recommended her to my family and friends. I strongly recommend her!
