The department of Gastroenterology was established at the SL Raheja Hospital in 2003. Over the past 15 years it has served thousands of patients and has distinguished itself especially in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures and emergency control of GI Bleed.It has hosted several international conferences and CME for educational purposes, and published several research papers. With the ever expanding need for digestive and liver care, and proliferation in endoscopy procedures, it became necessary to house the department in larger area with the aim to provide a more comprehensive array of services in comfortable surroundings. Thus the IDLCare was born.

Visited the doctor to understand the reason for my weight loss issue. The first visit involved a Rs.2300 (2000 - doctors charge + 300 - hospital) charge and was provided with the requisition for a battery of tests (which even included an endoscopy - which I politely refused ** * ***** ** * ****** *** ************** ** ** ***** *******
Scheduled an appointment for a follow-up to share my test results to be told that there will be another follow up charge of Rs.1650...which meant to get any sort of diagnosis the cost is (2300+1650) Rs.3950/- at this doctor.
The timings of the doctor on the site are inaccurate (5-6 pm on the site)...As even though I preferred to go to the doctor at 5 pm, his assistant told me to come not later than 4 pm as the doctor leaves early. Reached there at 3.58 (Had taken the 4 pm appointment) to be informed that the doctor has just got into a surgery and will be unavailable indefinitely. This is after I had reconfirmed my appt before leaving as I was forced to take a half day work leave.
I waited for 45 minutes at the hospital before I decided to leave as I was informed that the doctor will not be available anytime soon.
In response to my situation, his assistant was not even remotely apologetic. Received nothing but apathy and arrogant retorts to my obvious loss (of money, time and treatment).
Very disappointed and disillusioned with the hospital staff (SL Raheja) and the doctor Vinay Dhir.

Doctor was very polite and was a senior professional. What struck me odd is he did not do any physical examination and the suggested treatment *** ** ********* **** **** ** ******* ********* *** **** *** ******** ****** ***** Does not seem like much value for 2500 and 1 hour of wait time.
