1 gm muscle burns 6.5 kcal
While exercising appropriately, one increases muscle mass. This increased muscle mass increases your basal metabolic rate (i.e. capacity of your body to burn more energy). Thereby, burning more fat hence helping you stay fit.
So even in the festive seasons, when one tends to indulge in high calorie food stuff, please make sure you do not skip exercise, as one tends to feel lazy in the latter part of the day and generally finds it difficult to refuse/ control food intake.
How about about walking back home rather than taking a vehicle?
