If you say your child is prone to diseases and gets ill every other day, you are part responsible for that. You might not be doing anything wrong, but it is possible that you are not doing the right things either.

To ensure that you are working in the right direction towards building a strong immunity for your child, you need to take care of the following:

1) Healthy sleep cycle

Make sure your child is taking a total of 10 to 14 hours of nap depending on his/her age.

2) Watch their diet

Include leafy vegetables, yogurt, nuts, and protein-rich foods in their diet.

3) Active Lifestyle

Apart from normal play-time, encourage them to exercise by doing it with them instead of just pushing them to do it alone.

4) No second hand smoke

Don’t smoke or let anybody smoke when your child’s around.

5) Don’t force your paediatrician for medicines

There are some conditions which do not need medicines but mostly rest to get well. Don’t force your paediatrician to prescribe anti-biotic medicines as having them in too much quantity can be harmful.

If nothing works, consider taking help from a child-specialist. Nobody can take care of the situation as well as a professional.
