Plaque & Calculus

Plaque is a thin, sticky coat of bacteria that forms on your teeth. Please get your teeth cleaned regularly. Plaque needs to be removed on a daily basis with brushing and flossing.

Calculus which is formed by the plaque using calcium in your saliva is scraped off by your dentist.

When the sticky plaque is combined with sugars in food there is a 15-20 minute excretion of acid which promotes tooth decay and gum inflamation.

If you want to change something big, you will have to change something small everyday. Prevent gum disease by brushing and flossing every morning and night.
