Hip flexor injury occurs when you overuse or direct trauma to the hip flexor muscles and tendons,& osteoarthritis. As a result, the muscles become inflamed, painful, and sore. Certain groups of peoples are more prone to get hip flexor injury including who have a muscle imbalance, poorly conditioned muscle, weak muscles, &athletes who run, jump, & do high kicks like- Foot ball, Martial art, dance, & cycling. PHYSIOTHERAPYTREATMENT OF HIP FLEXOR INJURY- PHASE 1(week 0-4): non weight-bearing exercises& therapeutic modalities like- Bridge with Thera-band, Clamshells with Thera-band, straight leg raises, use of therapeutic modalities like-CRYO-THERAPY, CONTRASTBATH, LASER THERAPY & SHOCKWAVE THERAPY, use of a brace can help compress and stabilize the hip flexor. PHASE 2 (week 4-9): weight-bearing exercises like- squat with Thera-band, side-step with Thera-band, single-limb sit to stand, step down exercises, pelvic drop exercise, gentle stretching exercise(seated butterfly, pigeon pose, bridging, wall psoas hold  ).
