Allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever is an inflammatory condition of the nasal mucosa which occurs when the immune system overreacts to allergens in the air.
The most common airborne allergens that cause rhinitis are dust mites, pollen and spores, and animal skin, urine and saliva.
