How to manage it??
- Talk to the dentist - Tell them what is it that scares you the most while visiting the dentist
- Try breathing and relaxation techniques
- Ask a family member/ friend to accompany you
- Keep visits short- Pre inform the clinic/ dentist to keep short waiting times and split treatment into shorter visits
- Try using listening to music
- For severe cases, anti- anxiety medications can be considered
- For extremely severe cases, help of a therapist would be advisable
