1. According to new reports as per CDC the RT PCR test detects RNA of dead virus also that sheds in respiratory epithelium upto 1.5 months
  2. Hence Retesting is no longer recommended as the report of RT PCR can be false positive due to dead virus detection.
  3.  Once a patient is recovered or after home isolation of 10 days with no fever for atleast 3 days the person is declared to be cured. 
  4. The patient should further monitor himself for a period of 7 days for any symptoms.
