Did you know that, women's are at greater risk of developing a UTI (Unrainy tract infection) than are men.

Few of the symptoms for uti are: frequent urge to urinate, cloudy/bloody/ strong-smelling urine, pain or a burning sensation when urinating, abdominal pains, etc 

Quick tips to prevent/ treat UTI 

  • Drink plenty of water and urinate frequently. 
  • Include good bacteria in your diet such as probiotics which will help fight off the infection by getting rid of the bad bacteria and replacing it with your body’s natural, healthy bacteria. e.g. yogurt.
  • Garlic contains compounds that can kill bacteria, including those that cause a UTI. Hence include garlic while preparing meals.
  • Can include coconut water, cranberry unsweetened juice,  buttermilk, barley water in your diet.
  • Wear loose cotton underwear. 
  •  Avoid wearing tight jeans or trousers.  Avoid wearing tight, synthetic underwear, such as nylon.
  • Avoid  eating fried/ spicy/ sugary/ processed/ junk food. 
  • Avoid having acidic food in diet like citrus fruits. 
  • Do not drink caffeinated/ sugary/ aerated drinks.   
  • Avoid smoking & alcohol.
