It is minimally invasive surgery (MIS) to remove the gallbladder and known as laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It helps a person when sometimes a gallstones cause pain or infection or inflammation. The surgery of gallstone removal involves a few tiny or minute incisions, and best part of this surgery is patient can go home on a same day with less complications such as less pain and fast recovery time. within 3-4 days patient can resume its day to day activities.
What are The Symptoms?
Stones in gallbladder often cause no symptoms and a person may not realize about it but sometimes gallstone may block the flow of bile and irritate the gallbladder (acute cholecystitis) or pancreas (acute pancreatitis). This may cause symptoms such as unforeseen & extreme pain in abdomen, feeling sick, yellowish skin or Jaundice or pain in the abdomen (right side) . Sometimes this pain also reaches to the back or the shoulder of a person. In most of the cases surgery is one of the effective treatment to remove the gall bladder.
