Schoolbags are often looked upon the as common cause for backpain amongst children. If worn incorrectly or filled with too much weight, the they can cause immense pressure on the child’s back and cause back pain and muscle strain. An overfilled bag when worn incorrectly causes a force that pulls the individual backward. In order to maintain proper standing or walking position the individual tends to arch the back forward which compresses the spine. This abnormal compression strains the muscle around the spine which over time leads to shoulder, neck or back pain. Hence remember to choose and wear a schoolbag properly.
