Vayu, Pitta and Kapha are the three doshas are the causes of diseases of human bodies and both the rajas and tamas are responsible for all the mental disorders.
All the mental disorders like
jealousy,
grief,
fear,
anger,
pride and hatred arise from the sins of our own intellect.
Mental diseases are destroyed by the knowledge of the soul,
the knowledge of the scriptures or science
the steadfastness of patience,
the remembrance of the knowledge experienced and
by diverting the mind from objects and concentrating on God.
