Have you ever heard the term Pilonidal Sinus.
Today we are going to discuss about the disease Pilonidal Sinus. Pilonidal sinus is an anorectal disease which is occurring near the upper buttock area. A patient can visualise an abscess on the skin typically at the top of the buttock just above the tail bone or coccyx vertebrae.
Actually it’s a tract or tunnel inside the abscess which is filled with pus, ingrown hairs and blood.
The prime causes are people having more hairy skin, any trauma on buttock area & prolonged sitting.
Precautions can be taken like shaving the hairs on regular intervals, change the postures on every 30 to 45minutes. Treatment measures include some conventional methods of surgeries to be done but the problem lies in this is its recurrence. In general conventional method of surgeries mostly it is not cured completely & occurring again & again. Ksharsutra which is one of the best way to treat the disease completely. It’s a day care procedure patient can get discharge on the very same day of the procedure, minimally invasive and just form 2nd day onwards patient can start his routine work as previous. The chances of recurrence are almost nil due to the beauty of this procedure Ksharsutra.
