Penuma is the only penis enlargement treatment cleared for commercial use under the FDA regulation. The device is FDA-cleared for cosmetic enhancement. It is not covered by the insurance currently, and not made to treat erectile dysfunction.
How does the procedure work?
The Penuma is a crescent-shaped piece of silicone inserted under the skin of the penis to make it more comprehensive and longer. It is provided in three sizes:large, extra-large, and extra-extra-large.
The tissues that give shape to the penis are composed of two types:
è Corpus spongiosum: One cylindrical piece that runs along the bottom of the penis and surrounds the urethra, where urine comes out
- Corpus cavernosa: Two circular pieces of tissue that run parallel to each other along the top of the penis
The Penuma device will be designed to fit the specific shape of the penis. It is inserted in your shaft over the corpus cavernosa, like a sheath. The penis enlargement treatment could enlarge the penis size up to a length of 6.1 inches when flaccis, and 7.7 inches when erect.
Things to consider
Here are some of the significant factors about the surgery:
- You can go home the same day after the procedure
- The surgery nearly takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete.
- You’ll return for a follow-up after two to three days of operation.
- Penis will be swollen fora few weeks after the treatment.
- You’ll need to keep yourself away from sexual activity and masturbation for six to seven weeks.
The penis enlargement treatment can be expensive, yet some might find it worthwhile. If you are concerned about the girth and length of the penis, talk with your doctor. They might help you with nonsurgical solutions that can help you to achieve desired results.
