What Is PDRN?

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a next-generation regenerative treatment derived from purified DNA fragments (commonly salmon DNA) that activate natural skin healing. Known for its anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, and collagen-boosting properties, PDRN is a biological solution to a wide range of skin conditions — including PDL (Pigmented Dermal Lesions).

Understanding PDL (Pigmented Dermal Lesions)

PDL refers to deeper pigmentation or melanin buildup within the dermis — often caused by sun damage, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, hormonal changes, or chronic skin irritation.

Common examples include:

•Melasma (especially dermal or mixed type)

•Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)

•Lichen planus pigmentosa

•Pigmented acne scars

•Sun-induced blotchy discoloration.

These lesions are harder to treat than superficial pigmentation, often resistant to standard creams or lasers alone.

How PDRN Helps in PDL Treatment

PDRN offers multi-layered skin repair by working from the cellular and vascular level:

1. Cellular Regeneration

PDRN activates skin fibroblasts and promotes DNA synthesis, helping renew damaged cells in the dermis.

2. Melanin Regulation

By reducing chronic inflammation and oxidative stress, PDRN helps normalize melanocyte activity — minimizing abnormal pigment deposits.

3. Barrier Strengthening

PDRN strengthens the skin’s protective barrier, making it less reactive to UV, pollution, and cosmetic irritation — critical for preventing further pigmentation.

4. Synergy with Other Treatments

PDRN enhances recovery and results when combined with lasers (like Q-switch or PDL lasers), chemical peels, or microneedling.

Treatment Protocol for PDRN in PDL

✅ Session Plan: 3–6 sessions at 2–4 week intervals

✅ Delivery Methods:

•Mesotherapy (microinjections into dermis)

•Microneedling with PDRN serum (Dermapen)

•Post-laser application to calm and repair skin

✅ Ideal Combinations: Tranexamic acid, Glutathione, Vitamin C, PRP
