Introduction: Hyperuricemia (HU) is a primary risk factor of the deployment of Gout, Although it is likely that many hyperuricemic individuals will not develop symptoms .Uric acid is a final enzymatic product in the degradation of purin necleosides and it has the ability to scavenge oxygen radicals and protect the erythrocytes membrane from lipid oxidation .

Papaya plant properties:

Part used: Leaf, Fruit, Latex, Seeds.

Dosage: Leaf and Fruit Decoction: 40-80ml 

               Seed Powder:0.5 - 1 grm.

Papaya medicinal properties:

Rasa (Taste) of leaf - Katu (Pungent), Tikta (Bitter)

Guna (Properties) - Laghu (Light for digestion), Ruksa (Dry), Tikshna (Pungent)

Vipaka- Katu (Undergoes to pungent taste conversion after digestion)

Veerya (Potency) - Ushna (Hot)

Karma- Kaphavatahara (pacifies Kapha and Vatadosha), Hridya( Benefits the heart)

Preparation of Papaya seed ,Fruit,and leaves :

Decoction : Unripen fruit -clean properly-chop in small pieces and boil it 200 ml of water ,reduces by half (100 ml) and filter it drink this decoction water on empty stomach daily twice in a day.

Powder : seeds and leaves - clean properly in water dries up for 3 -5 days in shade and ground to pass through a 60 mesh sieve then kept at room temperature until used.

Shwasa-Respiratory disorders

Yakrutodara-Hepatomegaly

Pleehodara-Splenomegaly 

Shotha-Oedema ,inflammatory conditions

Visa-Toxic conditions.

Hyperuricemia, Hypertension, Dengue fever, Diabetes Mellitus etc.
