In the case of ovarian Cysts, many times women are quite anxious and think that Surgery is the only solution to get back their good health. That is not true.
As a Gynecologist, I consider and prescribe surgery only when essential. Let me explain when is surgery recommended in Ovarian Cyst and what types of Surgeries are required? :
When is Surgery Recommended?Persistent or Large Cysts: If a cyst is larger than 5-10 cm, persists over several menstrual cycles, or continues to grow, surgery may be considered.Symptomatic
Cysts: Cysts causing significant pain, pressure, or other symptoms that affect quality of life may require surgical removal.Suspicion of Malignancy: If a cyst appears complex (e.g., with solid areas or irregular shape) or if there are signs that suggest ovarian cancer (e.g., elevated CA-125 levels), surgery is usually recommended to rule out or treat cancer.Ruptured Cysts & Torsion (Twisting of the Ovary) also pose serious issues.
Consult for any Ovarian Cyst issues- trust me for the treatments or surgery based on thorough analysis. What is
Laparoscopic Surgery: It is minimally invasive surgery to remove the cyst while preserving the ovary (cystectomy). This is often recommended if the cyst is large, symptomatic, or suspected to be malignant.
There are a lot many advantages of laparoscopic surgery, like less blood loss, less sized scar, least hospitalization time and fast recovery, etc. For trusted laparoscopic surgery, you may consult me.
Laparotomy: A more invasive surgery that may be necessary if the cyst is very large, or if there is a suspicion of cancer. This may involve removing one or both ovaries.
Oophorectomy: Removal of one or both ovaries, usually recommended if the cyst is cancerous or if there is a high risk of cancer. For any ovarian cyst issues, you can get treatments and surgery as per latest medical protocols and rest assured for the best in class treatments.
