Oral fibrosis is consider as oral precancerous lesion. It is also known as Ghutka chewer disease as caused by betulnut/supari chewing, smoking, alcohol and even excessive spicy food.
These patients have recurrent oral ulcer, unable to eat spicy food, limited mouth opening and in late stage can develop oral cancer too.
Advance treatment for Oral fibrosis are:
1. Medication- topical ointment, multivitamin rich in lycopin.
2. Intralesional injection
3. Dental Laser for mouth opening
4. Surgical inter-positioning graft in zero mouth cases.
