Consistency – a quality of always having the same standards, opinions, behavior etc.

Today we live in the era where everyone expects quick results for anything that they do. One needs to understand everything is a process and that a process is bound to take time. For example a person decides to lose weight and starts exercises for about 8-10 days and later on checks his weight after this short span of time. On observation it was found out that not much difference had taken place and so decides to stop continuing with exercises. This whole idea is itself wrong.  One needs to be consistent with the efforts to achieve her/his ultimate goals.

Everything needs its sufficient time for its normal and healthy growth and development; even the world that we live in was formed after several years, we all have read about “the big band theory” and some other theories about the development of earth.

If we talk about birth also it takes about nine months for a child to develop within the womb and be delivered out of it in a healthy manner.

The examples cited above are just for one’s clarity of mind, that if these basic processes need sufficient amount of time then how are we to expect weight loss to happen overnight or over few days.

“Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come” –Dwayne Johnson

“Consistency is what transforms average into excellence”

“It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently” – Tony Robbins

It is imperative to be patient enough and give at least about 45-60 days for the body to react towards the initiative that you’ve taken; be it weight loss measures or anger management or effect of meditation etc. And during this time period the two things that hold the utmost importance is patience and consistency.

One needs to schedule her life accordingly that the newly-developed or modified action becomes a habit that is practiced on a regular basis.

The more you repeat the action, the more deeply it gets inculcated.

One might be thinking how is being consistent or regular related to homoeopathy? People expect homoeopathy to show miracle in a short span. Yes, it does show miracles. But if you expect miracles, give sufficient time for the miracle to happen.

At least give the medicine its required time to act upon the human organism. And once, it begins its action one can definitely see miracles happening. This we have talked about the diseases with sudden onsets.

Let us peep into the case of a long-standing disease. In such cases, one needs to be patient enough for the results to appear. One cannot expect the pain of 10 years long standing rheumatism to disappear within3 days. But that doesn’t mean you will get no changes at all. The pain will reduce to some extent after the 3-days medicines.

Another mistake usually people do is forgetting to take the medicines on time or just taking them as and when they feel the need to.

So here’s where being regular or being consistent plays an important role. One needs to take her medicines on a regular basis and also adapt to the changes that a homoeopathic physician suggests. And this needs to be done for a considerable period of time. One needs to mould herself according to the demands of the time; and especially when she wishes to treat herself sooner. One needs to cling to the healthy habits and be determined to amend her/his unhealthy habits.

YOU CAN BE IMPATIENT WITH YOUR ACTIONS, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE EXTREMELY PATIENT WITH THE OUTCOMES.
