Love Map Child Sexual Development 

 A love map is a mental pattern expressed in every individual. Sex –erotic fantasies and practices. It is unique for everyone. It is developed before the age of 8 and is executed after puberty.   

Children get their love map by engaging in sexual rehearsal play. When the play is not interfered with by parents, teachers, or society, the love map develops as heterosexual. 

Most of the time, patients come for evaluation of sexual identification. Heterosexual or homosexual. In such cases, we ask leading questions to the patient about sexual feelings about the same-sex or opposite sex. 

Further, we evaluate with questioner degree or grading of Homosexuality when the patient admitted his sexual attraction exclusively to same-sex is Gay/ homosexual. 

The team interviewed thousands of people about their sexual histories. Research showed that sexual behavior, thoughts, and feelings towards the same or opposite sex were not always consistent. Instead of assigning people to three categories—

1] Heterosexual, 

2] Bisexual, and 

3] Homosexuality. 

The team used a seven-point scale. It ranges from 0to 6 with an additional category of "X. Rating | Description-

 0 means | Exclusively heterosexual means normal is 80% in society. 

One means | Predominantly heterosexual, only incidentally homosexual.

 Two means | Predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual.

Three norms | Equally hetero sexual and homosexual. 

Four means | Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual.

Five means | Predominantly homosexual, only incidentally heterosexual.

Six standards | Exclusively homosexual .

X | No socio-sexual contacts or reactions 

The love map is a concept originated by a sexologist in his discussions of how people develop their sexual preferences.
