How to practice safe sex with condoms and other barrier methods

Here are some tips when using condoms and other barrier methods –   Let us understand-

Always use a new lubricated condom after each sexual encounter.

Check use-date - Do not use condoms after expiration.

When opening the packet, take care not to tear the condom with your fingernails, jewelry, or teeth &other things.

If additional lubricant is needed, use only water-based lubricants. Other lubricants can damage the condom. Condoms should be used from the beginning to the end of sexual intercourse. STIs can be transmitted when your partner ejaculates before intercourse.

Remember that the diaphragm (the cap worn high in the vagina to cover the uterus) offers little protection against STIs. Use condoms on vibrators and sex toys you share with your partner.

Latex gloves can be worn during vaginal and anal fingering.

Use dental floss (a sheet of latex worn over the female genitals) during oral sex.
