The anterior pelvic tilt is when your pelvisshifts into a different position more forward than it should be. Anteriorpelvic tilt causes hip flexion and lumbar extension. Anterior pelvic tilt cancause lower back pain. Due to a change in your neutral posture.

Due to anterior pelvic tilt, your lumbarcurvature becomes excessively increased. And several muscles group are affectedsuch as- quadriceps which help extend the knee, Ilio-psoas (the hip flexors),also the adductors muscles (the inner thigh muscles) all these 3 muscle groupsbecome tight. And muscles groups like gluteal, and hamstring become inactive oroverstretched which can be misunderstood with tight muscles but they are justoverstretched up to their upper limit. So stretching the hamstring muscle canworsen the condition.

Instead of stretching strengthening ofhamstring and gluteal muscles can prove beneficial.

Also due to increased lumbar lordoticcurvature, there is inactivation or weakness in core (abs) muscles. Sostrengthening of abs are very important but core strengthening exercise shouldbe done with some care because core strengthening exercises can over-activatethe hip flexor muscles which are already tight.
