PCOS or Polycystic ovary Syndrome:--
PCOS ovaries have a large number of small follicles up to the size of 8mm. These follicles are actually not developed & remain small in size.
In PCOS or Polycystic Ovaries, these follicles are unable to get mature so eggs are not formed inside them, which means that ovulation does not take place.
It's exactly difficult to know how many women have PCOS, but in India, roughly 1 in every 5th women is suffering from PCOS and this gap is reducing even 1 in every 4th women or girl has PCOS.
