Sharing a short story 40 yr old lady married for 16 years.Delivered a girl child 14 years ago by LSCS.She is working as a manager in private firm and her daughter studying 10th standard.( both made her Stressed out)She was rushed to our emergency dept one day with pain abdomen and on examination,some soft Fetal parts hanging out from vagina,her Heart rate was high and in severe hypotension ( unrecordable BP)She was having obstructed labor, breech delivery with after coming head of the baby stuck there(diagnosed to have ruptured uterus)Her life was in danger (including for the doctor and team)and we shifted her to OT and performed hysterectomy to save her life. She was transfused with 15 units of blood product and put on ventilator for 24 hours.The difficulty faced by our team. 1.Relatives were not willing to accept it was pregnancy complication.2.The patient is not believing that she is pregnant.After recovery,she discussed her point of version. She was too busy at her work place where responsibility was more and her daughter education ( 10 th std public examination) which needed more attention.She realised that her cycle is not coming but she assumed that she has attained menopause and not bother to have consultation.This incidence can happen not only to her but any woman in the age group of around 40 can trapped like this.THINGS TO REMEMBER .
