The first thought that strikes the mind hearing the word ‘acid’ is that it burns the skin. But, did you know that not all acids burn your skin. There are a few dermatologically proven acids that are very skin friendly and upon regular use make your skin healthy, flawless, and glowing. Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid (SA) is off-late being hailed as the BFF for your skin health. As per the dermatological studies SA should be your go to remedy for acne and all acne related problems such as acne nodules, pores, pustules, and acne scars. SA is a type of beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) which is typically used as a peeling agent. In dermatology, SA has been used in variable concentration (from 0.5% to 30%) as per the requirements of the condition. Mandelic acid

Mandelic acid is yet another alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) extracted from bitter almonds. It is best suitable for sensitive skin as it is a gentler exfoliating acid than other AHAs and doesn’t cause skin irritation. Mandelic acid can also protect the skin from sun damage, reduce pigmentation and slow down signs of aging.It is mostly used in night creams, and peel-masks or exfoliating cleansers.
