Hi sir l have been using zirconia crown on my second molar after root canal and scaling but l can clearly understand that the crown is taller in height than my need and it is continuously rubbing against the upper tooth,I can't chew with the right side where the crown has been placed, not only that I am experiencing sensitivity and ocassional pain in that treated tooth,is it normal after 2 days of crown placement?
And another question is can the crown be reshaped or shaved according to my need?Is it possible to lessen it's height? Or it has to be taken out?

visit to your dentist and check for any high points are present or not on the crown ,if it is then reshaped the crown and check the occlusion properly.
Some sensitivity is normal after a root canal treatment especially in molars ,could be due to inflamed surrounding tissues .it should settle over time .
But severe pain & prolonged discomfort needs addressing.
The crown can be checked for premature contact(too high) and adjusted if any,
crown needs to refabricated mostly , sensitivity and pain post rct of tooth is not normal , , consult the doctor from where you got the treatment again asap.
Hello! It’s normal to feel discomfort if the crown is slightly high. The height can be adjusted by your dentist without removing the crown. Please visit your dentist for correction of high points, it will relieve the pain and sensitivity!
It is normal to have sensitivity after root canal , so don’t need to worry about. But if there is too much pain then it should have to be checked…
For the crown please visit your dentist where you placed the crown and check for high points and get it trimmed ….
