Hello, The price of a dental crown can vary significantly depending on the type of material used, the quality of the dental laboratory, the dentist’s expertise, clinic infrastructure, and the city. Therefore, a higher or lower price does not necessarily mean the crown is genuine or fake. Regarding the warranty, it is not mandatory for dental crowns. Some clinics offer an optional warranty package that may cover replacement in case of manufacturing defects or certain treatment failures, while others include this in their treatment fee or do not provide a formal warranty at all. It is best to ask your dentist exactly what the warranty covers, as it usually has specific terms and conditions. Before deciding, ask your dentist: * Which brand of zirconia or PMF crown is being used? * Is it fabricated by a reputed dental laboratory? * What does the warranty include (manufacturing defects, crown fracture, recementation, etc.)? * Are there any exclusions? Rather than choosing solely based on cost, choose a qualified dentist who uses good-quality materials and provides proper follow-up care. A well-made and well-maintained crown can last 10–15 years or even longer with good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups.

Hello. Prices of crowns vary from dentist to dentist and from the location of the clinic. Some dentists may include a warranty price within the price of the crown, and some dentists may not include the warranty price in the crown price and charge it separately. So it's okay if the dentist you visited is charging seperately. You may go for it.

What you’ve been quoted is not necessarily a sign of fake crowns. Prices and warranty policies vary a lot between dental clinics.

It largely depends on the type and composition of the zirconia block used by the dental laboratory. In many cases, even the treating dentist may not know the exact zirconia material being provided by the lab. A high-quality multilayer zirconia (3Y–5Y gradient zirconia) offers an excellent balance of strength, translucency, and long-term durability, making it one of the best choices for fixed restorations. If the same high-quality zirconia block is used, the longevity of the crown does not depend on whether the laboratory offers a 3-year or 10-year warranty. The durability of the restoration remains essentially the same, provided it is fabricated correctly, cemented properly, and maintained with good oral hygiene. All zirconias are not same. And yr of warranty increases the cost too… bcz liability increases with Laboratory and even with Dentist for long period of time. Laboratory work with Authorised dentist only not with patients.

No fees… liability, warranty period and responsibility
