Work out Injury
Dear Sir/Ma'am, Self work out caused anterior chest wall strain and injury i.e mainly lifting and arm stretches with dumb bells. Compression does help but when ever any weight or work is done, I feel cramps and spasms for few seconds from the left shoulder area and downwards. The area becomes swollen amd tight. Any meds apart from Compression. Shall I stop worl out and wait. Pls guide. Sincere thanks, Ron

Don't do anything.. Take rest and pain killers for few days.. It will get better with time..

Get an X ray chest done. It could be an injury to one of the ribs (like a green stick fracture) . Put off exercises involving Pectoral muscles. Use Moov. You can also use a combination of Paracetamol and Mobizoxazone (Aldigesic MR).

You need to stop the heavy exercises for a few days till the pain and cramps are gone Apply ice pack over the affected area,take some OTC pain reliever,reparil gel and magnesium supplement for a few days.
