hello...
its normal to have sweelings and headache after wisdom tooth extraction...d doctor must have prescribed u with antibiotics an d painkilers
do cold pack ...avoid tea ...keep d area clean..dont use brush for dat area fr 3-4 days
Wisdom teeth extractions are considered the most complex of all the dental extractions, not because they are painful or traumatic, but because of the anatomy of the bone in that area which has reduced blood supply and the healing is slower. Also it is more difficult for the patient to maintain good oral hygiene in that area leading to further slowing down of the healing process.
Variable amount of post operative discomfort can be felt by different patients and is not a very troublesome or unexpected finding. Follow the instructions given by your dentist meticulously and you will be fine in sometime.
Warm saline gargles can help in reducing the inflammation in that area so you can do this multiple times in a day.
Regards.
