Take a course of antibiotics and painkillers. If problem persists or re-ocurrs frequently then get your tooth removed.

hello, you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy. this will give you temporary relief from pain. if the pain still persists, you need to consult an oral surgeon. the best treatment for wisdom tooth is to get it removed.

Hi, this is the age period when wisdom teeth usually cause minor problems as they are erupting into the oral cavity. in my opinion consult an oral surgeon and try conservative treatment i.e. take medication to subside infection and pain. keep the tooth under observation. if you don't get relief with medication then plan for extraction of the tooth.

When it erupts it causes pain , you should get it checked clinically ,if its not causing any damage to the front tooth and is having enough space for erupting then you can avoid extraction, but you have to keep that area clean. If there is not enough space then you have to extract it.

Agree with above specialists' opinions.
Next Steps
monitor the area with a bitewing xray - the most common 'side effect' of incompletely erupted wisdom teeth is cavity in the adjacent (normally erupted) second molar. a bitewing radiograph (xray) helps early detection of cavity in between the teeth. get a bitewing every 6 months.
Health Tips
extraction is not mandatory if- 1. you are able to clean the area effectively. 2. you can monitor the area for cavities to adjacent tooth every 6 months. having said this, many patients prefer prophylactic extraction to avoid possible cavity and/or RCT in future

When wisdom teeth erupts they cause pain due to two reasons, one if they are at an angle and are covered completely or partially by bone and put pressure on the adjacent tooth, secondly when they are partially covered with gums and when that gum becomes affected by infection and lead to a condition known as PERICORONITIS, if you have the second condition then extraction can be spared by simply removing the gum by LASER. So we will have to assess clinically as well as with an X ray what is your case
Next Steps
Go to your dentist and confirm
Health Tips
Don't worry, even if extraction is suggested go for it

In most cases it's advisable to get it extracted.. asper the studies it's seen that impacted teeth do cause lot of problems in future if left untreated

Hi,Please keep the wisdom tooth area clean by brushing properly & doing warm water with salt gargles 2 to 3 times a day. This way if that area is kept clean you can avoid extraction but in spite of that if pain continues extraction is the only option which is done after x ray analysis.

Wisdom tooth pain can be very severe...medicines are a very temporary relieving factor unless the tooth finds its way into the mouth, extraction is unavoidable. It will have to be done at some point in time..a planned extraction is always recommended...always better than an emergency.
