Today i have extracted the right lower side wisdom teeth.A cotton is placed after removal.No stiching or surgery.how much time this cottom should placed and what precautions must follow to not get infected other teeth.

Plz keep the cotton for half an hour , then remove it and have a cup ice cream. no rinsing and spitting for the next 24 hours. no smoking or using any other form of tobacco for the next 48 hours. you can have soft and cold diet.

hello there, cotton should be placed 30-45 mins and then removed, after 45 min have something cold like cold water or juice without using straw. Keep swallowing the saliva as you are not supposed to spit out today. have cold and soft food, no hard and hot food items are advised. you can use ice packs on cheeks on the affected side. Take medication advised by the dentist. no smoking or alcohol is advised. from tomorrow onwards rinse your mouth using warm water and salt 2-3 times a day.
