White patches below tongue
My dad had oral exam today he has never smoked not he chewed tobacco so what could be the reason of white patch earlier he had several white patches on both cheeks but now it is only in one cheek and tongue earlier he had pain while chewing but now it is not paining is this leukoplakia? Is this serious? Doctor told to do biopsy to be on safer side and get a dental check up every year for patch

It's leukoplakia, not cancer. It's pre malignant condition. Keep him on regular follow up. Not to do biopsy right now.
