My baby girl is 6 months and 19 days old, weighing 5.7 kg. Compared to her weight of 5.55 kg at 6 months, her weight gain seems slower. However, she's playful and sleeps peacefully at night. Her birth weight was 3 kg, I'm concerned about her weight gain. Should I undergo tests to determine the reason?

Don't worry
Birth weight doubles at 5 months means 6kg
Birth weight triples at 1 yr means 9kg
So try target to reach 9kg at 1 yr
Give solid foods more in the day time
Night time give only breast milk

Weight should ideally be twice the birth at 5 months.
Some babies gain weight faster than others so it's normal
At 6 months, if you have started solids, then baby will take time to adjust to it.
Next Steps
Don't worry
start solids if you haven't already
Health Tips
add little amount of ghee to baby food to make it calorie dense. It will help with weight gain
