My 6-month-old baby was born at 2.45 kg and now weighs 6.9 kg. Over the past 3 weeks, there’s been no weight gain after starting solids like khichdi, suji kheer, homemade cerelac, and fruits. I’m worried about whether to continue night feeding, how much milk my baby should take daily, and which foods I can give to support healthy weight gain.

For a 6 month completed baby, give rice kanji and dal 1-2 feeds/day, slowly increase the feed every weekly once, you can give steamed and mashed apple, pumpkin, carrot. Add a spoon of ghee to make it calorie dense, avoid sugar and salt till one year of age, continue breastfeeding along with the complementary feeds.
6.9 kg weight is adequate for the child.
